SP1 v6.7.0 Treats Prover-Network Access as a Lifecycle Problem

Succinct released SP1 v6.7.0 on September 7, 2026, with a small but operationally important set of SDK and release-pipeline changes.

The headline change is support for refreshable bearer tokens in the SDK. For applications that call the SP1 prover network, this points to a more durable authentication lifecycle: clients can renew credentials instead of treating a token as a permanently valid configuration value. The release notes do not specify token lifetime, refresh triggers, or migration steps, so builders should consult the relevant SDK documentation and test their authentication flow before deploying the upgrade.

The SDK also synchronizes its network protocol definitions with error_trace. That gives network-facing code a more expressive path for carrying diagnostic context when proving requests fail or encounter service-side problems. It does not, by itself, guarantee a particular logging format or improve proof performance; the practical benefit depends on how clients expose and act on the additional error information.

The release includes a CI fix to publish multi-platform Gnark release tags, plus the version bump itself. Together, the changes make v6.7.0 less about a new proof-system primitive and more about the reliability surface around using SP1 as infrastructure: credentials need renewal, failures need context, and released artifacts need to remain discoverable across platforms.

SP1 is a RISC-V zkVM that lets developers prove programs compiled from Rust and other languages targeting RISC-V.
